Examination and Promotions

a. The school has the following sections :

a.Primary Class I to V
b.Middle Class VI to VIII
c.Secondary Class IX to X
d.Senior Secondary Class XI to XII
b. The school is affiliated to CBSE (New Delhi). The Board administers AISSCE public examination held in March each year.

c. The medium of instruction is English for all the subjects.However, Hindi is a compulsory subject up to class X

B. ATTENDANCE : A pupil may not be allowed to appear in the Annual Examination if he/she has not achieved a minimum of 75% of the total attendance of the academic session,including attendance in previous school if the students has been admitted on transfer.

C. PROMOTION (PRIMARY): Promotion is granted on the basis of the whole year’s work of the students as per CBSE rules. It is very important for the pupil to be regular in work and attendance. ” No child will be promoted to the higher class in the middle of the session. It is imperative for every student to complete the course and appear for the Annual Examination in the month of March.

PROMOTION (SECONDARY & SENIOR SECONDARY)
1.For classes upto VIII, to pass an examination a candidate must not obtain less than 33% marks in subject and aggregate of 40% for promotion.

2.In class IX to XII candidate should obtain not less than 35% marks in each subject and aggregate of 40% for promotion.

3. If any student is found using unfair means in any of the examination, his/her paper shall be cancelled and further disciplinary action may be initiated to curb this evil.

4. Students of class XI-XII should pass separately in Theory and Practical exams.

5. A pupil who fails twice in the same class shall not be allowed to continue studies in the school.

6. The School is following Uniform system of Assessment for the students from class I-X as per CBSE norms.

6.1 Scholastic Area: The assessment structure and examination comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as
explained below:

6.2 Co-Scholastic Activities : For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out by the teachers and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding, B=Very Good and C=Fair).The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork be the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:

(a) Work Education – Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community

(b) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)

(c) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.)

7. Discipline : The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance,sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding, B=Very Good and C=Fair)

*For classes IX-X Co-Scholastic activities will be graded on a five point scale(A-E).
